Bundle Download Failure

In some cases when you try to download a bundle after installing CloudCenter and importing the VM to CloudCenter, you may see the following error:

Failed to download specified bundle: BundleName

A Maximum Transfer Unit (MTU) value mismatch is indicative of this being an instance-related issue. In these cases, check the MTU settings on the instance:

ifconfig | grep MTU

This kind of an error is issued if the MTU settings on the instance are different from the default MTU value of 1500.

You have 2 options:

  • Change the MTU value back to the default of 1500.

  • Run the following IPTABLES command on the CCO.

    iptables -I FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu

AgentLite Installation Nuances

Sometimes, an AgentLite installation can fail on Linux VMs, if the CCO's routing rules are not up-to-date.

Run the following commands on the CCO to ensure that the IP tables are up to date:

iptables -I FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu

/sbin/sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1

To avoid running the second command listed above on every VM reboot, verify that the following line is present in /etc/sysctl.conf.
